Inspired by the exhibition The Color Woodcut in Vienna around 1900, which was on view at the Albertina Museum, BUREAU KIES collaborated on an animalistic collection for the Autumn Winter 2018/19 collection of the fashion label Sightline.. For this project at the interface of fashion and art, BUREAU KIES has chosen wild animals as motifs, which the modernist painter and illustrator Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel depicted at the turn of the century on behalf of the Austrian emperor.

This hybrid piece of art is part of the Sightline Collection and based on the colour woodcut Head of a Tiger (1909) by Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel (courtesy of the Albertina Museum, Vienna).

It can be used as a tapestry to dress your wall or as a scarf to dress yourself. It is made of a Cotton Silk Satin (70% cotton, 30% silk), a lightweight and semi-transparent fabric that has a beautiful sheer on the back. The fabric offers a graceful drape, a soft feel and has a shiny surface.
